Salvia officinalis. This is an essential culinary herb. It will live long with its attractive, grey-green oval, leafed foliage. It will grow about 75cm high. Flowers bloom in short racemes of blue-mauve in early summer - mid autumn. Good with meat, stuffing's, herb butters. Sage tea reduces fevers. Medicinally used for sore throats and infected gum. Also the main herb for smudging sticks.
