Delivery Information

Standard Delivery to Mainland UK

Delivery is charged at a flat rate regardless of quantity or order value.

Seeds / Bulbs are charged at a cost of £5.00 to Mainland England, Wales & Mainland Scotland.

Plants are charged at a cost of £10.00 to Mainland England, Wales & Mainland Scotland.

Simply add items to your basket, proceed to checkout and enter your delivery address and delivery cost will be calculated and displayed.

We use a next day delivery service for our deliveries. Please note our couriers will attempt two deliveries, if you are not at home or you have not left “leave safe” instructions the order will be sent back to us. You will then need to pay for the goods to be re-sent and also pay for the return courier.

We want to ensure that your plants arrive in great condition so we send by overnight courier service. Plants will never be sent on a Friday as we don’t want the risk of them being in transit over the weekend. Saturday delivery service is available please contact us for details.

The Standard Delivery service is only offered to mainland UK. Mainland UK consists of England, Wales and Scotland, excluding Scottish Highlands AB36-38, AB55-56, FK17-21, IV1-39, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-40, PH19-26, PH30-41 and PH49-50, Scottish Islands, Channel Islands, Scilly Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man & Isle of Wight.


The environment is important to us, we have tried to remove the use of plastics as much as possible and use only renewable, recyclable and reusable products. We do not use any plastic in our packaging unless its to protect a stem with flower and we will then use plastic bottles so that it’s their second use. All our paper waste is shredded for packaging too, anything we can do to reduce our carbon footprint and help the planet is done.

Delivery Outside Mainland UK

We can ship to other parts of the UK & Ireland, please contact us for a quote before placing an order online.

Delivery Address

We will deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery on your order. Please make sure this address is up to date and accurate, and that you are careful to select the appropriate address for shipping and billing. We cannot accept any liability for loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions.

If we anticipate a delay

We aim to deliver within the quoted time frame, but delivery times are not guaranteed. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, we will contact you to notify you of the delay and provide you with an alternative date for delivery. If you are not happy with the revised date, your order will be cancelled and we will refund your order in full. In no event shall we be liable for any damages or penalty for any delay in delivery.

Problem with the delivery

We will notify you when your order is ready for dispatch. If you do not receive your order within 2 days of your dispatch notification please contact us as soon as possible. To notify us please email, or mobile 07931 634933.


Carefully remove plants from the box, check all packaging to make sure you haven’t missed any and water immediately as they will be thirsty. Most plants can be planted out immediately if the conditions are suitable, however some may need to be kept in a glasshouse or cold frame until late spring/early summer or until the risk of frost has passed. Bare-root plants can be planted immediately if conditions are suitable, if not, they can be potted up until planting is possible.

If you are not satisfied with your order please contact us immediately either by phone or email, if by email it is a good idea to send us photographs of your plants. Keep all packaging, We will do our best to sort things out immediately.

Click & Collect

Click and collect is available at all of the shows and events that we will be attending this year. Select the show or event you would like to collect your plants from the dropdown at the checkout stage. There is no charge for this service.

Return & Refund Policy 

We are very proud at John Cullen Gardens Ltd of the high quality of the plants we sell, but occasionally products are damaged in transit. If there is an issue with your delivery, please contact us straight away to discuss a return or exchange via email on or by text message, providing photographs if possible. Alternatively, telephone us on 07931 634933 to discuss. 
If an item has been damaged in transit, we will cover the cost of postage for a replacement. If, however, you have changed your mind about your purchase, you will cover the cost of returning the item to us.
