Savory - Winter

Satureja montana. Hardy semi-evergreen shrub with dark green, aromatic, linear leaves and flowers that are small white and tinged with pink. Height  & spread 30cm. Full sun. Culinary use to season a variety of meats, poultry, and egg dishes, as well as soups, sauces, and stews. Makes a fantastic addition to stuffing. 

Has many medicinal uses including appetite stimulant, winter tonic and pain relief from insect bites and stings.
