Salvia microphylla. A lovely form of edible sage with the most amazing blackcurrant scented leaved and cerise flowers which are also edible. We like to use the leaves of this sage for a rub on a roast chicken along with lemon. It is also a popular variety to use in cocktails and the flowers are cute frozen in ice cubes or in salads. This variety is not fully hardy so we sell as an annual but in some mild winters it can make it through under glass. Originating from Mexico it like to be in the heat and does not like a windy site. Height 1m. Full sun.
