Ctenanthe setosa - Never never plant

This is a lovely variety of houseplant with a graceful upright habit and elongated to lance-shaped leathery leaves of silvery green and a dazzling opulent purple underside. Ctenanthe close their leaves at night time and unfold them again in the morning. They also do this if they need water so if you see them do this during the day they need a good drink. A mature plant will reach heights of 75cm. They enjoy a bright position but not in direct sunlight.
