Actaea simplex 'Brunette' (PBR) - Sold out for 2024

Lovely upright perennial that adds real vertical interest to the border with purple black stems and finely divided foliage forming a compound form from which erect stems bear arching fluffy, bottlebrush like spikes of densely packed, small and delicately fragrant white flowers, opening from stunning purple-pink buds. Attractive berries follow, which the birds love. Height 1m. Best planted in a shady spot. Good for bees.
