Eryngium planum

The original variety that is super robust and easy to keep. Branched stems of cone-shaped, light blue flowers surrounded by spiny blue-green bracts. Well drained soil in sun. Height and spread to around 90cm x 45cm. Loved by bees and butterflies. Perfect for mid border planting. Drought tolerant once established. Copes in costal conditions.  Makes a great cut flower and also dries well.
