Cirsium rivulare 'Atropurpureum' | Brook Thistle is an upright perennial with decorative red thistle flower heads on tall, 4foot, high stems. Flowers early Spring to late Summer. Bees adore this plant, due to the high nectar content within the flowers. Best in full sun but can take part shade. Prefers a dry soil. Will not cope in damp soils.
