Callistemon citrinus 'Splendens'

Bottlebrush. Native to Australia but a super popular shrub in UK where it will thrive as long as it's positioned in a warm sheltered spot. Dramatic crimson red flower spikes will appear in summer. The foliage is dark green but has a pink-red flush before it matures. The leaves are lemon scented but need to be crushed or bruised to release the scent. Mature height 8m if left un-pruned.  Full sun. Good for bees.
