Native to south east Asia, Thai Basil is widely used in the cuisines of Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia as the leaves stand up better to cooking than those of the more familiar Sweet Basil. Has a slight anise or liquorice flavour so great in Thai cooking especially stir fries and curries. Medicinally it is rich in antioxidants, which help protect your body from free radicals and oxidative stress.
