Myrtle | Myrtus communis. subs. 'Tarentina' A lovely variety of the shrubby evergreen herb with smaller dark green leaves, than the regular myrtle and pinky-white flowers that will produce black fruits which are often used in liqueurs. The leaves can be used in many dishes and have a similar flavour to bay. Great for stews and for stuffing. Lovely to wrap round pork or game. Height 1.5m. Full sun. Good for bees.
