A lovely new variety of ornamental elder. It has a more compact habit so better suited for those with smaller gardens. The white flowers are very fragrant and will mature to purple-black berries. The foliage is bright green in spring and summer and then ages to golden yellow. The berries are perfect for jams. cordials and of course elderberry wine. Should you wish to make a cordial then use the flowers in spring. Full sun or partial shade. Requires 4-6 hours of sunshine for a good yield of berries. Height 1.5m. Good for bees and butterflies.
